My Experience Joining a School Newspaper
I joined the school newspaper this term as a junior reporter. My first job was to interview the school’s football team. I was nervous to talk to the players, but my editor said, “Prepare your questions in advance.” I wrote down questions like “What’s your secret to winning?” and “How do you practice?” The players were friendly and answered my questions. I wrote the article and submitted it. A week later, I saw my name in the newspaper. My classmates congratulated me, and my mom framed the article. Being a reporter is fun. I learned to talk to different people and write clearly. I want to interview the art teacher next.
