My Favorite Teacher
Among all my teachers, Miss Zhao, my Chinese teacher and head teacher, is the one I admire most. She has long black hair and bright eyes, and she always wears a warm smile. What I love most about her is her patience and care for every student. Last semester, my Chinese composition was always poor. I felt frustrated and wanted to give up. Miss Zhao noticed my mood and asked me to stay after class. She didn’t criticize me; instead, she read my compositions carefully and pointed out my strengths—like my vivid details. She gave me a notebook and told me to write down daily thoughts, no matter how short. She checked it every week and wrote encouraging comments. With her help, my writing improved gradually. In the mid-term exam, my composition got the highest score in the class. Miss Zhao also cares about our lives. When I caught a cold last month, she lent me her scarf and asked me to drink more hot water. She’s not just a teacher; she’s like a kind elder sister. I hope to become a person as warm and helpful as her.
