My Family

Family is the warmest harbor in the world. My family is a happy family with three people: my parents and me. We love each other deeply and live a peaceful life.

My father is a doctor. He is hard-working and responsible. He always devotes himself to his work and helps many patients. Although he is busy, he spends as much time as possible with our family. He often plays basketball with me and tells me interesting stories. My mother is a teacher. She is kind and patient. She takes good care of my daily life and helps me with my studies. She cooks delicious food for us every day and makes our home clean and tidy.

I am a middle school student. I study hard and try my best to make my parents proud. Every weekend, our family usually goes for a walk in the park or watches movies together. We talk about our daily life and share our happiness and worries. These precious moments make our family closer.

I love my family very much. I am grateful for my parents' love and care. I will work hard to repay them and make our family more happy.

A Sunny Day Birdwatching in the Mountain

My dad and I went birdwatching in the mountain last Sunday. We brought binoculars and a bird guidebook. The first bird we saw was a red-billed leiothrix—its feathers were bright yellow and red. We spotted a woodpecker pecking a tree; the sound echoed in the forest. Dad pointed out a kestrel flying high in the sky, looking for food. I took photos of the birds with my dad’s camera, being careful not to make noise. A park ranger told us the mountain has over 50 kinds of birds. We sat on a rock and ate sandwiches, listening to the birds sing. On the way back, I saw a nest with baby birds. Birdwatching taught me to appreciate quiet moments. I learned that the mountain is a home for many beautiful creatures.
